Doing your Bronze at Freshie

Want to be a patrolling club member of Freshie?  Or do you enjoy competition?  The first step is to obtain your BRONZE MEDALLION (Certificate II in Public Safety - Aquatic Rescue).  Freshwater is pleased to offer this accredited course.  Undertaking the Bronze requires both time and dedication.  Usually taking 6-8 weeks to complete, it involves approximately one evening per week learning the theory and at least one session per week on the beach learning rescue techniques. Extra time is needed for study and practice.  We advise that you do not undertake this course unless you are prepared to work hard.  But the benefits are immense.  After completing your Bronze, you may continue with your surf education by undertaking your Advanced Resuscitation Certificate, your Silver Medallion or if IRB interests you, your IRB Crewman or Drivers.  The Bronze opens up the doors for Surf Life Saving.  By undertaking your award at Freshwater, you are obliged to join a Freshwater patrol.

We have two intakes for Bronze each season - September and January.  Places may be limited.  All enquiries for the Bronze should be made to exo@freshwaterslsc.com
