Located on Freshwater
Beach, the Freshwater Surf Life Saving Club provides a
relaxed and casual atmosphere for your special event. Established in 1908, our
rich history is reflected in our recently renovated Club
rooms, which are now available for your wedding,
engagement or other special event. A true reflection of
beach culture. Taking pride of place in our beachfront
Freshwater Room is Duke Kananamoku's original surf
board. The Duke demonstrated the first exhibition of
surf board riding ever in Australia in 1915 at
Freshwater Beach.
All proceeds from function
room hire go straight back into the club to assist with
the on-going purchase of vital life saving equipment as
well as training new patrolling lifesavers and keeping
our current patrol members up-to-date with the latest
lifesaving techniques. A necessary function to keep our
record of 96 years with "no lives lost" when the beach
is patrolled at Freshie.
Our food and beverage
services are provided by a select group of award winning
caterers. Choose from one of their wide range of
menu options created especially for Freshwater or they
will design a menu for your special event. Or
choose to use your own caterers.
With the combination of
Freshwater Surf Life Saving Club and our preferred
caterers as event managers, your special event is sure
to be memorable.
