Member Facilities

The club premises sit very proudly in the sand hills of Freshwater Beach and combine the traditions of the old clubhouse and facilities, which we have all come to expect in a modern club. The clubhouse incorporates the following:

Member's Rooms
The old club building provides sitting areas looking over the beach and also incorporates club memorabilia stretching back to the early 1900's. The Duke's surfboard is also proudly exhibited in this section of the club.

Function Room & Barbecue Area 
These areas are available for functions - 21st birthdays, wedding, christenings or parties to celebrate any occasion. Click here for more information on function room hire.  Members may be eligible for discount on function room hire.  Club functions are also held in these rooms.

Gymnasium 
The club gym is full equipped and is available for the use of all full members of the club. Associate members may also obtain gym membership as an optional extra. The gym is not to be used by junior members.  Members MUST be financial in order to use the gym.

Change Rooms 
Members change rooms provide hot showers, toilets and a large change room.  Members MUST be financial to use the change rooms.

Craft Storage
The lower area of the club is used for storage of surf craft, which is either club-owned or member-owned. All members have the opportunity to store their surf craft in the extensive racking provided in this part of the club subject to space availability. It is appropriate to advise either the club board or ski captains of the particulars of your craft to take advantage of this facility.
