Instructions for Freshwater Nippers Registrations

For the 2016/17 season the registration processes are explained below.

REGISTRATION COSTS

One child, one parent, family social fee                                      $180

Two children, one parent, family social fee                                $250

Three (or more) children, one parent, family social fee           $300

 

1. REGISTRATIONS FOR NEW FAMILIES

All registrations for new families have to be completed / sent to registration@freshwaterslsc by midnight Wednesday 21st September.

OPTION A

We hold a registration day on Sunday 11 September 2016 from 9am to 12noon at Freshwater Beach Clubhouse. It is an effective way for us to answer general queries and on the day you can;

·         Complete the Application for Membership forms for children and parent(s)

·         Complete the Member Protection Declaration for parent(s) and provide ID

·         Show proof of age for the children

·         Obtain clothing

·         Pay

The MEMBER PROTECTION DECLARATION form is available here, with the form also being available on the day.

OPTION B

If you are unable to attend the registration day you can use this process. 

Online Registration: You can do via the online registration and payment process. Instructions commence at http://sls.com.au/join. From this screen the process is intuitive noting a user guide is linked to this page. There are 3 stages required to complete the registration.

·         Registration is required for each child and at least 1 parent.

·         At the payment screen you have to pay to “Freshwater SLSC”

·       Send scans or photos of the following to registration@freshwaterslsc

o    A completed Member Protection Declaration for parent(s) along with ID

o    Proof of age for each of the children

OPTION C

If you are unable to attend the registration day you can use this process.

You can send forms plus proof of age & ID via email and pay to our bank account. There are 2 stages required to complete the registration.

  • Send scans or photos of the following to registration@freshwaterslsc
    • An Application for Membership form is required for each child and at least 1 parent.
    • A completed Member Protection Declaration for parent(s) along with ID
    • Proof of age for each of the children
  • Pay to BSB 633000 A/C No. 117 077 479 “Freshwater Surf Life Saving Club”. Include your family name as the reference.

 

2. RENEWALS FOR EXISTING FAMILIES

All registrations for existing families have to be completed by midnight Sunday 25th September via the online process.

There is a “Surf Life Saving Australia Members Portal” website in use again this season, within which is the Lifesaving Online (LSO) section. This section of the website is where you can renew membership, pay registration fees, manage your family group, manage personal details etc.

(i) If you renewed online last season you would have created an account and most likely created a Family Group. Login to the Members Portal at http://portal.sls.com.au then click the ‘Lifesaving Online’ tab on the first row.

You will see the ‘My Family’ tab on the 2nd row. Please carefully check and update contact details; particular attention needs to be paid to First Name, Last Name, DOB and contact details (especially mobile & email address).

From this page you need to both RENEW MEMBERSHIPS and MAKE PAYMENTas per the links on the right hand side of the page. At the payment screen you have to pay to “Freshwater SLSC”, noting all names can be included on the 1 line with the total family fee.

(ii) If you did not set up a Family Group last season, please go to the My Family tab and click the “Create Family Group” button. The steps are intuitive however if you are unsure please refer to this guide.

The Registrar will need to approve the Family Group and you will not be able to manage the group until this has been done, however you CAN perform the RENEW MEMBERSHIP and MAKE PAYMENT steps.

(iii) If you need to set up a Member Portal account for the first time then a parent has to create a Members Portal Account. Instructions commence at http://sls.com.au/join. From this screen the process is intuitive noting a user guide is linked to this page. Once the account is created you can create a Family Group, then perform the RENEW MEMBERSHIP and MAKE PAYMENT steps as above.

 

3. NEW REGISTRATIONS FOR CHILDREN OF EXISTING FAMILIES

This is to be done via OPTION B above.

For this process perform the first stage of registration and the last stage of sending scans or photos of proof of age for the children to registration@freshwaterslsc

Payment can be incorporated when paying for the whole family in the Family Group process above.
