FRESHWATER SURF LIFE SAVING CLUB is celebrating 100 years of protecting the bathing public at Freshwater Beach in 2007/2008.  Preparations are well under way to celebrate this historic year for our club and you can be a part of the celebrations!!  Ensure you put the dates in your diary now so you don't miss these once in 100 years events.

Centenary Surf Race
This will be conducted on Sunday 5th October 2008 at 11am.
A BBQ brunch will follow to re-live the stories from the Ball
and utilise our wonderful beach & clubhouse.

Freshwater Centenary History Book

Compiling 100 years of Freshwater Surf Life Saving Club is no easy task.  Thanks to the dedication of a team of long term members of Freshie, this book has been completed and is currently with the publishers.   The book is not only a book which serves as historical publication for our future generation of members, it will also be a great read and a book to be cherished.

There are two editions to choose from:

• Leather Bound Collectors Edition - SOLD OUT

• Standard Edition - this is a standard soft cover, colour edition.  Orders are currently being taken for these @ $60 ea.

Freshie's 100th Year Birthday Party
7.30pm
1st December 2007
Freshwater SLSC
What a fantastic night was had by all.
Over 200 members past and present attended, with many old and new
stories told, and a lot of reminiscing over a few cold ales and great food.
If you missed this one, make sure you get in and get yourself organised to
attend the Centenary Ball.

Freshwater SLSC Centenary Surf Carnival and Boat Spectacular.
 

Freshwater Fair - Sunday 30th March 2008
This event was a HUGE success.  The reserve was filled with fun and excitement from 9am
till dusk.  With rides for all ages, food, sample bags, balloons & games it was a fun filled
day for the whole family.  Watch the web page as this may become an annual event.
