Are you over 15? ........ Time to get your Bronze Medallion!

The Bronze Medallion is a skills based award. You must be a minimum of 15 years of age and as a pre-requisite candidates must complete a 400m pool swim in nine (9) minutes or less. Candidates train in groups for approximately six (6) weeks, training twice per week.  During this time they will develop skills in:

  • Signals
  • Radios
  • First Aid
  • Resuscitation
  • Oxygen and Defibrillator use
  • Rescues and Patrols

Candidates will be assessed on these skills and in communications and team work in a patrolling situation.

Candidates will successfully complete a 200m run, 200m swim and 200m run in eight (8) minutes.

The next Bronze Medallion course (for new members) will commence on Saturday 20th October 
The times for this course will run on a Monday night between 6.30pm to 8.30pm.  The Sat morning session will commence at 11am and finish at 1pm for 6 weeks.

The BM Course starting Saturday 6th October 2018 is full
The times will be 6.30-8.30pm on Tuesday nights and 9-11am on Saturdays for 6 weeks.

NOTE:  We are limiting courses to 12 candidates per course so if there is an overflow of interested person/s they will be placed on the next available course.
