Proficiency testing is a vital part of maintaining our level of skill
All patrol members and any competing long serving members are required to complete an annual proficiency test. These requirements are set out in the circulars issued by SLSA.
Proficiency Requirements are subject to revision. Please check to ensure circulars or memos provided are current, by going to Surf Life Saving NSW website. Where both new and old circulars can be found in their circulars archive.
Proficiency dates are set out early in the season and it is recommended that you attend early. This avoids the last minute rush and the chance that work/illness/misadventure prevents you undertaking your proficiency later. Most awards require an annual test.
